The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the significant range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider level created for intervention ordeals a large inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to permit the servicing of all customers and enhance access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
